Apple Releases iOS 10.3 Beta: Siri Will Now Show Cricket Scores
Apple has started rolling out iOS 10.3 beta update to developers. The beta version introduces several useful features, the big change is that Siri will finally gets cricket sports scores and stats from IPL and the ICC, apart from answering other queries.
According to Apple, users can ask Siri a number of questions around cricket, which include rankings for 2016 IPL, when a particular team will play their next match or how their team is performing in the series. Users can also ask Siri to show stats for an individual player, and know which team will India be playing next, When is the next Cricket match?, and more, and Siri will reply immediately.
The other useful addition is Find My AirPods. With this feature, you will be able to send a beeping sound through one or both your AirPods so you will be able to locate them. You can also see the last position they were in on a map before they lost connection with the phone.
Apple has also added an API that allows app makers to ask for a review of their app. With the help of the new API, developers will be able to show a dialog that will let the user rate and review the app within the app itself, without being sent to the App Store.
Apple has included improvements to CarPlay to add shortcuts to launch the last two used apps. Music in CarPlay will show Up Next and Maps now displays electronic vehicle charging stations.
Spotlight search sees some improvement, and the animation while opening and closing of apps seems to be slightly tinkered with. 3D Touch on weather icon in Maps gives hourly forecasts, and lets you know if there is any chance of rain or change in weather.
