Google Play Store Adds Direct Billing Option For Airtel And Vodafone Customers In India
Google Play has introduced direct carrier billing for Google Play store for Airtel and Vodafone customers in India. Carrier billing will now allow Airtel and Vodafone customers to pay for apps, games, and books on Google Play directly through their phone bill, while for prepaid users, the balance will be deducted as and when they do any purchase.
Addition of direct carrier billing makes it easier for customers to buy apps, books, movies and songs directly from the Google Play Store. Apart from direct carrier billing option, you can also pay using debit/credit cards, Play Store gift cards, and Netbanking as a payment method in India.
Earlier, Google Play had launched carrier billing for Idea customers in India in May last year. In November last year, Google Play added net banking support in India.
Carrier billing support is more useful for people who don’t have a credit card.
