WhatsApp For Android Beta Adds GIF Library, Increases Media-Sharing Limit To 30

WhatsApp is adding support for searching GIFs from within the app for Android users and also raised the media sharing limit from 10 to 30. This feature has been available for iOS users since November 2016, has now made its way to Android users. The features are available for WhatsApp beta version 2.17.6 for users on Android.

Assuming you are on the beta version 2.17.6, you can now find a new ‘GIF’ toggle at the bottom when you hit the emoji icon while typing a message in the app. Tapping the GIF toggle will lead to a new built-in GIF gallery (Giphy or TENOR) which is where users can now choose from a tonne of options available.

WhatsApp has increased its data sharing limit from 10 to 30, which makes it convenient for users to share media in bulk. This change will be greatly welcomed by users, as sharing bulk images on WhatsApp was a tedious task due to the cap. This raise in ceiling limit will smooth things out a bit.
