Xiaomi Mi Max 2 set to launch on May 25
Xiaomi has finally revealed that it will be launching the Mi Max successor on May 25 in China. Mi Max 2 is going to be the successor of the Mi Max which was launched last year. The company has started teasing the Mi Max 2 launch on the said date via Weibo, a Chinese social media platform.
The Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to sport a 6.44-inh full-HD display with all-metal body. The smartphone is expected to be powered by Snapdragon 626 SoC with 4GB of RAM and Snapdragon 660 SoC with 6GB of RAM. It is priced at CNY 1,499 (roughly Rs. 14,000) and CNY 1,699 (roughly Rs. 15,900) respectively. While on the storage front, It is expected to introduce a 128GB storage variant of the Mi Max 2.
On the camera front, the device is expected to come with 12-megapixel camera on the rear panel with Sony IMX378 sensor. On the front, Mi Max 2 will come with 5-megapixel front camera.
The smartphone will run on Android 7.1.1 Nougat operating system which will be wrapped under MIUI and will be backed up by a large 5000mAh battery. Xiaomi Mi Max 2 is expected to come with dual speaker grilles at the bottom edge, a USB Type-C port, a 3.5mm audio jack on the top edge, fingerprint scanner in the centre at the back.
