Xiaomi To Skip Mobile World Congress 2017
Mobile World Congress (MWC), the biggest event in the industry, is scheduled to kick off on February 27 in Barcelona. It seems two of the most popular handset manufacturers are out of action. After Samsung confirmed its absence from MWC, as per latest report from TechCrunch, it Seems like Xiaomi to give the event a miss. This obviously means that the alleged Mi 6 flagship smartphone will be delayed as well.
The Xiaomi Mi 6, the successor to the company’s flagship Mi 5, is expected to be unveiled in the first half of 2017. Based on Online leaks, The Mi6 is expected to come in two variants based on the display, a flat screen display and a curved screen display. further rumoured Mi6 to come in two variants – a 6GB RAM with 256GB internal storage variant, and 4GB RAM with 128GB internal storage variant.
A recent Leaks also claimed that the Mi 6 variant will pack a physical home button with a built-in fingerprint sensor. It will run on Android 7.0 Nougat out-of-the-box and will Sports a 12MP Sony sensor at its rear.
For pricing, the regular Mi 6 is said to be priced at CNY 1,999 (roughly Rs. 20,000) while the dual-curved display variant expected to be priced around CNY 2,499 (roughly Rs. 25,000).
