Xiaomi Sold Over 2.5 Lakh Redmi 4A Phones Within 4 Minutes In First Sale In India
Xiaomi Redmi 4A went on sale for the first time in India on March 23 on Amazon India and Mi.com at 12pm. And once again the company claims to have set another record and sold over 2.5 lakh Redmi 4A phones in just 4 minutes on Thursday. The figure includes sales on both Amazon India and Mi.com.
Amazon India also said that during the period of the sale, website saw more than 5 million hits per minute on the site and orders spiked to a record 1500 per second during this period. The company also added that they got over 1 million ‘notify me’ alerts from customers. The next sale for Redmi 4A will take place on March 30 on Amazon India and Mi.com at 12 PM.
In terms of specifications, Xiaomi Redmi 4A features a 5-inch HD (720×1280 pixels) display and is powered by a 1.4GHz Snapdragon 425 processor coupled with Adreno 308 GPU. It comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, which is expandable up to 128GB via microSD. The smartphone is powered by a 3120mAh battery with fast charging support and runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow operating system wrapped under MIUI 8.
Redmi 4A bears a 13-megapixel rear camera with PDAF, a 5-lens system, an f/2.2 aperture, and an LED flash, while the front camera bears a 5-megapixel sensor with an f/2.2 aperture.
The smartphone is priced at Rs. 5,999 and will be available exclusively via Amazon India and Mi.com. Connectivity options include 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 b/g/n, GPS/ A-GPS, and Bluetooth v4.1. Sensors on board include accelerometer, ambient light, gyroscope, infrared, and proximity. It measures 139.5×70.4×8.5mm, and weighs 131.5 grams.
